From the end of March to the beginning of May 2016, I uploaded three ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) videos to the Chinese video-sharing platform bilibili.com after extensive research on the ASMR users’ community on this website. 


After being voluntarily reposted by a gatekeeper who became a fan of the videos, the videos gained 5k+ followers, almost 100k views in total, and 4k+ comments. 


bilibili.com is known as the platform that has the most potential to become the Chinese youtube. It has had a very competitive environment for content uploading. Numerous videos are uploaded every second. Given the context of most videos receive 0-5 views, the matrix of my ASMR trilogy was phenomenal for the ASMR community there.

Followers and fans still contact me until today, requesting new videos. I receive roughly 40-50 comments and likes every month until today as the videos are being rewatched. The gatekeeper who reposted me in the beginning, became my WeChat friend, and we still remain in touch.
